Hey readers! How are you doing? As you may have guessed from my activity levels with news and blogs etc I'm not one for bombarding you with needless info about me and what I'm up to in the world of music or any other world for that matter! I'm still not convinced if people really want to hear if someone is tired, pissed off with the neighbours or drinking coffee at that particular time (which, by chance, I am)! So unless my hand is forced by some strong willed marketeer you won't find me on twitter filling your lives with useless information. There's too much of that already! So instead from time to time I'll continue to say hi here and elsewhere to let you know what's going on. That way you can take the bits you need or leave it which i think is best for all our sakes! Right, now for that coffee...

The guys in the band (Paul, Russ and Chloe) and I (Pete - nice to meet you) are recording an album as we speak (well not as we speak, because I'm typing whilst drinking coffee right now- and taking great care not to spill over the keyboard. I'm no expert but I'm guessing they don't mix well) in a converted train carriage on the South coast of England. The old story is that from a disused railway line, carriages were given to World War 2 soldiers to live in on the beach to recover from the effects of mustard gas poisoning. Since then it's been modified and built upon but within the four walls of the house the carriage remains in tact! I'll see if I can grab a photo and put it up here to prove I'm not crazy! Although a photo alone may not be sufficient!
It's pretty exciting to sit down and get to transfer songs from demo to gig to cd and watch them evolve or even look at the brand new songs from the album. Depending on beach conditions (South Westerly winds, sand castles and sea gulls) I hope to get the album finished before October and then with a photo (any suggestions?!) and a few bits of blurb added to it, the album will hopefully be able to download/ buy before Christmas. What a nice present! It should add a nice contrast to what's out there on iTunes etc already.
In the mean time with the summer is slowly creeping by and the days getting shorter, the gigs are still rolling on, which gives me the chance to say thanks to you all properly (and not on paper, virtual or otherwise!) for taking the time to come and listen to me make bad jokes, say the wrong things and occasionally sing a song or two.
I will keep you posted on the recordings, other news and my caffeine habits. Speaking of which I'm empty. Time to put the kettle on I guess.
Take care and thanks as ever for all your support
love
Pete
